TRIP Money-Back Guarantee - Terms & Conditions
Promoter / Guarantor: TRIP Drink Ltd, registered in England & Wales with company number 11834475, registered office: 13 Hillgate Street, London, England, W8 7SP.
These terms apply to the TRIP Money-Back Guarantee shown on selected product pages at drink-trip.com.
1. Scope of the Guarantee
1.1. The “Money-Back Guarantee” is a voluntary promotional guarantee offered by TRIP on selected products purchased directly from drink-trip.com.
1.2. The Guarantee only applies where the money-back guarantee was clearly displayed on the relevant product page at the time the customer placed their order.
1.3. The Guarantee allows an eligible customer who is dissatisfied with the taste of an eligible product to claim a refund for one eligible product unit only, subject to these terms.
1.4. This Guarantee is separate from, and does not affect, your statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to faulty, misdescribed or unsatisfactory goods.
2. Eligibility
2.1. The Guarantee applies only to purchases made directly from drink-trip.com.
2.2. Purchases from third-party retailers or marketplaces, including Amazon, Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett, TikTok Shop or any other retail partner, are excluded.
2.3. The Guarantee applies only to the specific product page on which the Money-Back Guarantee was displayed at the time of purchase.
2.4. The Guarantee does not apply to products where the Guarantee was not displayed, single cans, merchandise, gift cards, free gifts, samples, or products purchased for resale.
2.5. Unless expressly stated on the relevant product page, bundles, multipacks containing multiple different products, build-a-box products and mixed promotional offers are excluded.
2.6. The Guarantee is limited to one claim per customer and one claim per household. For these purposes, TRIP may consider factors including delivery address, email address, customer account, payment method and other fraud-prevention signals.
3. Eligible Product Unit
3.1. A refund may only be claimed against one eligible product unit.
3.2. An “eligible product unit” means one retail unit of the eligible product purchased by the customer, for example:
- one 24-pack of drinks;
- one pouch of gummies;
- one pouch of powder;
- one bottle of oil; or
- such other single retail unit as TRIP may specify on the relevant product page.
3.3. If a customer purchases more than one unit of the same eligible product, the Guarantee applies to one unit only.
3.4. If a customer purchases multiple eligible products in the same order, TRIP may limit the Guarantee to one eligible product unit in that order.
4. Trial Allowance and Fair Use
4.1. The Guarantee is intended to allow customers to try the taste of the eligible product. It is not an “all-you-can-consume” offer.
4.2. To be eligible, the customer must have consumed no more than a reasonable trial amount of the eligible product.
4.3. Unless otherwise stated on the product page, the reasonable trial amount is:
- for drinks: up to two cans from the eligible product unit;
- for gummies: up to two servings from one pouch;
- for powders: up to two servings from one pouch;
- for oils: up to two servings from one bottle.
4.4. TRIP may reject a claim where it reasonably believes the customer has consumed more than the trial allowance or is attempting to use the Guarantee in a way that is inconsistent with its purpose.
4.5. Customers must retain the remaining unused product and original packaging until the claim has been resolved, as TRIP may request evidence or return of the remaining product.
5. Refund Amount and Maximum Claim Value
5.1. The maximum refund available under the Guarantee is the amount actually paid by the customer for one eligible product unit, after any discounts, vouchers, subscription savings, bundle savings, loyalty rewards or other promotional reductions have been applied.
5.2. The total refund available under the Guarantee is capped at £50 per customer and per household.
5.3. The refund will therefore be the lower of:
- the amount actually paid for one eligible product unit; and
- £50.
5.4. Where the eligible product unit formed part of a discounted order, promotion or offer, TRIP may calculate the refund based on the effective discounted price paid for that product unit.
5.5. The Guarantee does not cover:
- original delivery charges;
- express delivery upgrades;
- shipping protection or insurance;
- gift wrapping;
- free gifts;
- samples;
- other products in the order; or
- any consequential costs or losses.
5.6. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method where possible.
6. How to Claim
6.1. To make a claim, the customer must email hello@drink-trip.com within 30 days of the tracked delivery date.
6.2. The claim must include:
- order number;
- customer name and delivery postcode;
- the eligible product being claimed against;
- a short explanation that the customer was dissatisfied with the taste;
- photographic evidence of the remaining product and packaging; and
- where available, batch code or best-before information.
6.3. TRIP may request additional reasonable evidence to validate the claim, including photographs of the remaining product, packaging, batch codes or order details.
6.4. TRIP may require the customer to return the remaining unused product before issuing a refund. If TRIP requires a return, TRIP will provide a prepaid returns label.
6.5. If the returned product or evidence shows that more than the permitted trial allowance has been consumed, TRIP may reduce or reject the refund.
7. Fraud and Abuse Prevention
7.1. TRIP may reject a claim where it reasonably suspects fraud, abuse or misuse of the Guarantee.
7.2. This includes, but is not limited to:
- repeat claims by the same customer or household;
- claims made using different identities to avoid the one-claim limit;
- claims relating to products purchased for resale;
- tampering with product, packaging or batch information;
- claims where the customer cannot provide reasonable evidence of purchase; or
- claims that are inconsistent with the purpose of the Guarantee.
7.3. TRIP may also refuse or limit claims where it reasonably believes that the Guarantee is being exploited or used in bad faith.
7.4. Nothing in this section affects a customer’s statutory rights.
8. Availability, Changes and Withdrawal
8.1. The Guarantee is available only while it is displayed on the relevant product page at drink-trip.com.
8.2. TRIP may amend, pause or withdraw the Guarantee at any time. Any amendment, pause or withdrawal will not affect valid claims for eligible purchases made while the Guarantee was displayed, provided the customer meets these terms.
8.3. The Guarantee applies to UK orders only, unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.
9. Statutory Rights
9.1. This Guarantee is offered in addition to, and does not replace or limit, your statutory rights.
9.2. In particular, if a product is faulty, misdescribed, unsafe or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights, you may have separate rights to a refund, repair or replacement.
9.3. For more information about your statutory rights, you may contact Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office.
10. Governing Law
10.1. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.2. Customers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also have rights to bring proceedings in their local courts.
